Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder chose her name after her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father was from the Jewish family. Ryder believes she is Jewish. Her half-siblings are younger, Jubal and Sunyata. At the age of seven, Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated from Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County California.
