Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. She is currently the president as the president of Los Angeles Lakers, the owner of the National Basketball Association. Buss is a California native, Buss has been raised by an upper class family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon and later owner of Lakers and other enterprises. The emotional strain she felt was exacerbated when her parents separated in 1972. At the age of 19, she took over management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. She founded later an organization called the Los Angeles Blades, a professional, roller-hockey club. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers, she served as president of the Great Western Forum. Her father died in 2013, and his control over control for the Lakers was transferred to Buss as well as her siblings through a family trust which gave each sibling an equal vote. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss co-owns Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional company based in Los Angeles.
