Nancy Wilson, a jazz singer and three-time Grammy Award winner was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on 20 February 1937 to Olden Wilson, an ironworker. was employed for a lengthy period as housekeeper. Within a short time she had been singing at The Blue Morocco Night Club located on Boston Road near The Bronx. Adderley's representative saw her singing and instantly took her on.
