John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched a multitude of people through his songs. Many of these have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. who was born Henry J. Deutschendorf in Roswell located in the state of New Mexico, fell in love with Colorado. The place he settled was Aspen. Denver's enduring songs about his new home state have led many to relocate to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said it was because John Denver is the only actor to be a symbol of Colorado. Denver was one of the very first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. He is now regarded as the symbol of Colorado to people from throughout the world. People you meet in different countries, such as New Zealanders. You declare "I am from Colorado" then they reply "Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was among Denver's top 10 solo achievement after having performed in small folk groups. It was co-written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff was the one who wrote the song to imitate the style of Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear an early version, and was certain the song would be a top 10 pop hit. The song was recorded by the singer within a couple of days before performing the song to the awe-inspiring crowd at Washington D.C.
